Since I will be away from tomorrow until the beginning of the new term on 7 July, I thought it best to use the blog to publicise some useful information about the course.
The first lecture for PSYC3014 will take place on WEDNESDAY 9 JULY at 09H00 in U11.
The course outline and reading pack will be available from me (if you can catch me in my office) from Monday 7 July. Otherwise, I will be bringing these to the first lecture at 09h00 on Wednesday 9 July. Please also see my previous post with details about the prescribed textbook. We will be reading Chapters 3, 5 and 11 later on in the course, but I assure you it would make stimulating holiday reading if you can get a copy in advance.
Just so that you are forewarned, a mini-assignment for the course will be due on Friday 18 July, so picking up the course outline and reading pack as soon as they are available would be to your advantage.
Unfortunately, while I am away, I will not be contactable via email or telephone, nor will I have access to this blog site (this should be my last posting until at least 4 July). If you have any urgent queries, you can comment on this post or send me an email at michael.pitman@wits.ac.za and I will try get back to you as soon as possible after 4 July. If your query relates to 3rd year Psychology more generally, remember that the Course Coordinator is Dr Mambwe Kasese-Hara.
I look forward to meeting you next term. Enjoy a good winter break, and be sure to return fresh and ready for a stimulating and challenging course.
